Back Nine at Dad Miller with new Clubs

Maybe this was the week I should have taken a break. Despite being really exciting about golfing this week, trying out my new Maxfli PowerMax Iron set (by TaylorMade) and wanting to play DMGC's back Nine holes again ... I really sucked! I shot my worst ever 9 hole score today. I lost my first two balls on the #10 fairway right off the bat and struggled trying to adjust to my new irons!


My newest set up includes Maxfli BlueMax Woods, Maxfli PowerMax Irons and of course my TaylorMade R5 580 Driver!


My friend and coworker, Carl did really well today! He shot a 48/16 on the same course that I struggled so badly with today. On the 17th hole, he broke his 6 Iron on his approach shot while making a birdie!!


Well, I'm not quiting golf anytime soon but maybe I should start practicing with my new clubs before going out again! Golf, you gotta love it!

Finally made it across the street to play the last three holes at Dad Millers (a first for newbie golfer DB)!!


Now playing solo in the dark! Almost lost my tee shot (went into the next fairway) ... where's my flashlight!

It was a nice day of golfing! I shot a 120/34 (my putting was pretty damn good today)!

Dad Miller Golfing

It was a really windy day at Dad Miller's today! It was just me and Carl from work.

I hit a great shot from the teebox within 30 yards or so from the pin. Unfortunately, I couldn't even do a simple chip shot so I really messed up a possible birdie!

I was able to get my ball on the #5 Green in two strokes. Too bad I three-putted on the green for a bogey.

By the time we got on the teebox for #9, it was getting pretty dark. We finished by 7:34pm. I lost my last three yellow ball in the last three holes.

As frustrating as today was, I shot the same total score as last week and putted better (64/18 this week as opposed to 64/25 last week).

I guess that's golf, you gotta love it!
