River Ridge GC at Pico Rivera (Jan 26th)

A new course to play on my birthday!

It was a very challenging par 29 course (similar to Ironwood, I thought).

It was kind of windy

Here's Charlie chipping one onto the green

Here's Jeff on his final tee shot across the water on #9. I ended up shooting my "age" on this course (which wasn't good, ha ha!).

It was fun and I'll like to try this course again after I learn how to chip a little better.

Green River GC - Orange course

Finally got to play at Green River GC in Corona. Was suppose to play December 2006 but it rained and then I went back to Ms for Christmas break. This is my first round of golf for 2008.

Here's Green River GC 's club house / restaurant.
We warmed up this morning hit small buckets of balls on the short driving range.
The Orange course is the shorter of the two course at Green River (with "Riverside Course being longer).
Here's James teeing off

here's my ball on the course, you can just see James and Diane in the background.
It was a nice day to play. I didn't shoot that well but hey new course, first game of the year and I did have like a three layoff from golf. Thanks James and Diane for inviting to play with you!

Dlb 9 Hole Rounds at Cerritos Ironwood

I said to myself last night if the sun is shining, I'm golfing ....

I got out to Cerritos Ironwood Nine at 9:45am, hit 1/2 a small bucket on the driving range before I got paired up with some guys.

It was both sunny and cloudy with rain clouds moving in!

I shot a 46/20 on the first 9 holes and we finished at Noon.

I played in different foursome at 12:15pm (skipping lunch)

It was fun and I hit the greens four times and got a par on the first hole. So my on my 2nd 9 holes I shot a 44/23 bringing my 18 hole score to 90/43 (on a par 58 for 18).

Oh well, it was fun and not bad for my 79th and 80th rounds of golf this year!

Lakewood Country Club

Played 9 plus extra holes at Lakewood CC today.

Lakewood has a really nice setup and is practically across from the Long Beach Airport.

Here the tunnel to access the other half of the course under Carson street.

Water Hazards were everywhere and I knocked two balls in today.

Well, I guess we're ready to start!

Here's the snack shop between #2, #3 and #10 holes.

Here's Eugen taking a swing.

Here's Travis bombing another drive!

Oh no! Someone got a birdie! (actually, we found this poor coot already laid out and it wasn't us!)

We only made it to Hole #12 before it start getting dark.

There was a beautiful sunset at the course today.

There was also a very bright orange Harvest moon tonight too!

I didn't get to play more than 11 holes but it was mostly fun today!
