Mississippi Golfing: Tunica National GC July 7, 2014

2nd Golfing outing after the UMACA Reunion weekend!

Weather was surprisingly good in the upper Mississippi Delta (except we still had to deal with the mosquitoes!).
Mike stretching before our round.

Keith, my partner at Plantation GC the day before are actually on opposite teams this time.

Tammy teeing off.
Me at #9

We had to skip #16 and #17 (slow players in front of us) due to time constraints but it was a great time!
Thanks to Mike & Tammy for treating us!

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - After nearly a decade on the LPGA tour, Michelle Wie has finally won the first major tournament of her career.
The Punahou grad finished -2 over the weekend to become the champion of the 69th U.S. Women's Open Championship in Pinehurst, North Carolina.

The 24-year-old entered the day tied for the lead with Amy Yang and used consistent play to hold on to the lead.

Wie made par on eight of her nine holes and then got a boost from an eagle on the 10th.

This is Wie's second win of the year and her ninth top-10 finish in 13 starts.

She claimed the Lotte Championship at Ko Olina back in April.

Tiger Wins again!

Tiger wins the 2013 Player's Championship by 2 strokes!
Such as exciting final round and the race thru the last 9 holes became a log jam and then horrors as Tiger puts one in the water at 14 and takes a double. He was able to get back the lead with an easy tap in and hold off Sergio Garcia and David Lingmerth. Garcia put 2 balls in the water at #17 and hooked another one into the water on #18 from the tee. Lingmerth had a chance to force a playoff on the 18th green but ran his putt by the hole into the fringe and then missed the 7 footer for the outright possession of 2nd place. All in all a very exciting round at the The Players Championship! Congrats to Tiger on his fastest 4 PGA wins in a season in his career. This Mother's Day win was also his 300th PGA start!
