Saturday at Dad Millers GC

After playing 18 holes at Fullerton GC, I was ready to conquer Dad Miller GC (boy was I NOT ready)! I got together with Rodney and Brad from work this afternoon.

I even came earlier to practice putting

by the 2nd fairway, I knew I was sucking today!

Rodney and Brad were full of energy!

Brad's putting while Rodney tends the flag pin.

When it was all said and done, I shot a crappy 58! It even started raining on us this afternoon. I had to take off at 5 o'clock but Rodney and Brad started another round at #1.

Oh, well ... next time I'll do better!

$20 Special at Fullerton GC

Since I was taking Friday off as a vacation day I might as well play golf! My coworker Eugene passed along an email special for Fullerton GC ($20 for 18 holes and a cart M-F after 11:30am)! I hooked up with three other guys to tee off at 11:30 this morning. It was pretty fun. My first drive was one of the longest and I out drove all the other guys.

Here's the 9th hole, it was 1:54 pm at this point.

I think this is getting towards the end.

A warning not to get into the little creek at Fullerton GC.

Aaaah, finally to the 18th hole. I started melting down toward the end but I shot better than I did back in March (118/43); I shot a 114 / 40 today (which including a bunch of 7's, 8's and a 9). Overall, I drove much better and putted alitte better. It was a fun way to spend my vacation day!

9 holes at Cerritos Iron Wood Nine

This is a GREAT way to spend my vacation day!!!

Joined up with Benny and Rod at IronWood Nine this afternoon. We tee'd off at 12:45pm and finished at 2:25pm. I had pretty bad start, hit past the greens with my pitching wedge on the first hole and lost two balls driving on the 2nd tee box (right into the water hazard with my 3W)!

I started to settle down afterwards. Had a great 210 plus yards drive on #4 using my TaylorMade driver and got a par on #5 and hit the green on #7. Unfortunately, I had a few three putts but I didn't lose anymore balls and was able to finish up 44/19 without taking any mullgans. Poor Benny, right after making his first par on #8, proceeded to hit 8 Titlest balls into the water hazard on the last hole (the last one on purpose). Someone was alittle frustrated!

It was a really enjoyable Friday afternoon!

DB is all ready to play 18 holes!

Wilson hits one down range!

Ready for 9 more holes!

DB at the 1/2 way point!

Almost finish!

Yippie! Finished 18 holes into darkness. I shot a 96/43. Wilson did really well, had some great drives and beat me on the back 9!

It was a pretty fun golf outing!

River View Golf Course in Santa Ana

Played at River View Golf Course in Santa Ana for the first time. Unfortunately, it rained from midnight Friday thru noon today. The course was pretty soaked but me, Rodney and Jeff still wanted to play!

Because of the rain, only half of the 18 hole course was usable with the course divided by the Santa Ana River which normally doesn't have any water in it but it was sure full today!

Here I am trying to pull the Santa Ana River over!

Here's the river facing north ...

and facing south.

There was a pretty sunset at the end of the day.

Here's Rodney putting

Here's Jeff teeing off on #8 teebox

Jeff and Rodney retired after 9 holes. It was a long day and very slow play. I played the 9 holes again with our playing partner Raymond (who is also one of the course marshall at River View Golf Course).

I shot a 48/20 on the 1st 9 and a terrible 58/26 on the 2nd 9 (106/46 total).

It was still fun!

Seven holes at Dad Miller GC

Hooked up with Wilson to play 7 holes this afternoon after work.

While I had a couple good drives and chip, the rest of my game was frustrating. Oh, well better than an great day at the office I suppose.
