Twilight golfing at Cerritos Ironwood

I just realized that I posted my last golf outing on my regular Delta Boy Adventure blog by mistake.

9 holes at LB Lil' Rec GC

Made it out to Long Beach this afternoon, my friends called me at the last minute to see if I was free to play today (of course!!)

I got down there alittle early to practice putting (it didn't help)!

Here's Wai chipping one on the green.

On the 7th, there is a big water hazard cutting across the blue teebox!

I managed to hit over the water hazard and not kill any of the coots in this big flock just on the other side of the water hazard!

I finally made it the 7th hole, it only took me 7 strokes to finish it (groan ... it's a par 4). There's no pictures of the 8th ... I had a complete melt down with my swearing and club throwing (golf isn't very relaxing sometime). I took 10 strokes on this par 3 hole! Sadly, I went and apologized to all my playing partner on my childish behavior.

After taking a mulligan for really bad tee shot, I hit a 162 yrd drive on the green with my 4 iron club and par'd it in 3 strokes. Now that's the way, to end a crazy round of golf!

We went to L & L Hawaiian BBQ for dinner afterwards.

I got the special of the day, Kalua Pork and Chicken Katsui plate lunch (complete with macaroni salad and two scoops of steam rice). Very filling. The folks at L & L were very generious too, they gave out these cool Chinese Zodiac Animal calendars with the Hawaiian names for each of the 12 animals and discount coupons for the next visit to L & L.

After dinner, we went next door to Dairy Queen for dessert.

I ended taking the long way home since I missed my freeway offramp but I got home early enough to spend some time cleaning out my dirty clubs. I been playing alot lately (today was my sixth golf game this month, 2nd one this week).

Dad Miller's GC after work

Twilight golfing after work is baaaaaack!

My coworkers are getting ready to go!

Rodney on the fairway

DB is happy golfing after work!

DB's ball watching the beautiful clouds over the golf course.

Sunset at Dad Miller's GC (it even sprinkled alittle on us).

After golf, we went for Japanese at Lai Lai Ken in Anaheim.

Everyone else had the various small dishes.

DB was alittle piggy and went for the Spicy Tuna rolls ...

and the Teriyaki Salmon Combo.

Cheers from Rodney on a great time!

Golfer's Paradise / Olympic Golf Store

Went to Golfer's Paradise after church today to hit a bucket (105) of balls on the range and to spend some time putting.

On my way home, I stopped by Olympic Golf at the Amerige Height shopping Center in Fullerton to see what's new there. Prices look great. I found a slightly better deal for a new high tech putting ring ($10 bucks at Olympic Golf, 7.99 on sale at Target next door ... hey, I'm Chinese ... I look for deals!).

9 holes at Ironwood Nine in Cerritos

Spent 30 minutes in the chipping area

Then hooked up with three guys (Danny, Netto, and Chris) to play 9 holes. They were super nice guys and three of us were about the same level (meaning we were really inconsistence).

I love daylight saving .. start at 4:30 and finished up at 5:45 pm!

It was a beautiful cool breezy day for golf!

I shot a 48/20 and only lost one ball (sliced it out of bounds with my driver on the 3rd).

After attending a baby party in San Marino, DB found himself wanting to play golf in the worst way.

18 holes at Fullerton GC

I met Rodney at noon at the GC, we joined husband & wife Don and Annie. They delightful to play with. It was a long 18 hole! I had a lot of great shots and just as many terrible shot but I did par'ed two holes (#13 and #18)! I think I also lost at least 2 sleeve of balls if not more.

It was about 12:30 when we tee'd and very windy and sunny!

It was so nice to finally finish the last hole and with a par too!

Here's where my tee shot landed, just above the bunker. I chipped it close to the pin and ONE - putted for my 2nd 'par of the day!

By the end of the day, it was really overcast and cool!
