Birch Hills after work

Went to Birch Hills for the 2nd time within a week (and sucked)! Carl, Jim L., and I played afterwork today. It was slow. We got a tee time of 6:20 for the Sundowner rate but was able go up about 10 - 15 minutes earlier. It didn't help, we followed these really slow people all thru the 9 holes. I was in kinda of a bad mood and it really affected my playing. It didn't matter that I practiced pitching and chipping at lunch time or that I got to hit some ball on the driving range before hand.

Happier moments (before we tee'd off). I par'd the first hole on Sunday ... unfortunately with the same 7 Iron, I sliced it bad and ended up on the #3 fairway. I took a drop and promptly bladed it across the green and on the #2 tee box. Shamefully, I picked my ball and took a double par on the first green!


Here Carl and Jim are waiting for the two slow cart riding folks to move down the fairway. Those folks were really really slow!


Jim finally got to tee off! I shanked my tee shot into a tree and loft my 2nd tee shot onto Birch street. I had to take a drop in the middle of the #4 fairway, 'cause I was sucking so badly!


Whew! Finally finished one of the worst games, I've played in a while! I shot a crappy 40/17 (10 stroke more than what I did on this past Sunday).


I stopped over at the nearly empty driving range and got some satisfaction hitting some long ball with my all way reliable 5W!


Since it was so late, I picked some takeout from Wendy's on my way home too!
