18 holes at Fullerton Golf Course
back on the fairway after two months (11/24/09)
Look at that form! Rick shot a 103 today!!
I didn't do as well as Rick but I did get a par and a birdie!
As they say, a bad day on the golf course is better than a good day at work!

Birch Hills GC - September 19, 2009
Playing at Birch Hills GC for the first time this year!
We got the $25.50 special for twilight and got to tee off about 2:30pm. There was hardly anyone out at Birch Hills today! It was like we had the entire course to ourselves, no pressure at all!
We finished under three hours!
Special Bonus photos:
My friend Wai, got her first "Hole in One" on the #3 green!! She was so happy, she called all her friends. The Clubhouse promised her a trophy and a mention in the Orange County Register!
Congrats Wai!!

Return to Dad Miller
Well, my warm up game yesterday at Cerritos Ironwood 9 didn't help me play any better but at least I couldn't say I hadn't played in a month! After almost two years (October 2007), I was back playing at Dad Miller Golf Course in Anaheim (one of three golf course within a couple miles of where I live). Today was my 22nd time on the course but only the 2nd time I ever finished all 18 holes. I totally had melt downs on the very first tee and on the approached to #18. I kept telling myself that this is supposed to be "fun" ... kind of brutal until I remember that this isn't my day job (ha ha)! Wai and I got to play with two senior gentlemen, Nam and Mike. They were so consistent!
After shanking my very first tee shot into some bushes on the #1 teebox, I finally made it to the 1st green! Boy did I stink today!!
This was a pretty example of how horrible my golfing was today, my tee shot on #6 ended up on the base of this tree!
Here is Mike and Nam on the green waiting to putt.
Heres Wai teeing off!
We to to #9 tee box by 5:58pm with two more hours of daylight to go to finish 18 holes.
At #13 tee box, the sun was totally blinding but Wai managed to make Par on this one! I was able to make my one and only par on #15!
View of the water hazard on #15 (reverse angle from the green).
We made it #18 by 7:45pm and finished just after 8:00pm! Woo hoo!
It was only the 2nd time ever that I got to finish Dad Miller GC!
Our post golfing celebration was at Paul's in Anaheim where Wai and I had dinner afterwards.
A "fun" day on the golf course!

Holiday Golfing at Whittier Narrows

Back at Whittier Narrows - Mtn Course 9
Played 9 holes this morning - afternoon in Rosemead, first time back since April 1, 2007. Boy, did I really suck today! But it's all good. I had this almost great chip-in with my putter from the fringe. Otherwise, I didn't do well on most of my drives and fairway shots.
Shot of the day had to be Charlie's friend Steve's on green tee shot!
Good Times!

18 Holes at David L Baker GC
One of two GC bordering Mile Square Park in Fountain Valley. This was the second time I've played this course (last time was September 29, 2007). I wondered it I was going to do as well as I did last time.
It was a very sunny warm day today!
This was the policy but no one listen, cause the play was very slow today!
Jim tees off as Jeff and Charlie spots for him.
Charlie tees up
Jeff is putting for par as Jim and Charlie watches
About four hours and thirty minutes later (from 2:12pm to 6:40pm) we finally finished! One of the guys was as red as a lobster from all that sun. I got some sun too!
Jeff and I went across the street to have dinner at Denny's. I got the Country fried steak with mashed potatoes and corn. It was good! I'm sooo tired and sorry. I won't have any problems sleeping tonight.

Good Friday at Bixby GC
Got to play 9 holes with coworkers Charlie & Jeff today at Bixby Village GC. Since it was a holiday, it was relatively lite today and overcast. Good thing it didn't rain.
The big highlight of the day was Jeff hitting a chipin birdie on #8. I played okay, one of the better times at Bixby Village (47/18) including a par on #9.
We had a late lunch at Fantastic Cafe in Long Beach afterwards.

I had the BBQ beef sandwich, it was good!
A great day off with friends on the golf course.
