Well, my warm up game yesterday at Cerritos Ironwood 9 didn't help me play any better but at least I couldn't say I hadn't played in a month! After almost two years (October 2007), I was back playing at Dad Miller Golf Course in Anaheim (one of three golf course within a couple miles of where I live). Today was my 22nd time on the course but only the 2nd time I ever finished all 18 holes. I totally had melt downs on the very first tee and on the approached to #18. I kept telling myself that this is supposed to be "fun" ... kind of brutal until I remember that this isn't my day job (ha ha)! Wai and I got to play with two senior gentlemen, Nam and Mike. They were so consistent!
After shanking my very first tee shot into some bushes on the #1 teebox, I finally made it to the 1st green! Boy did I stink today!!
This was a pretty example of how horrible my golfing was today, my tee shot on #6 ended up on the base of this tree!
Here is Mike and Nam on the green waiting to putt.
Heres Wai teeing off!
We to to #9 tee box by 5:58pm with two more hours of daylight to go to finish 18 holes.
At #13 tee box, the sun was totally blinding but Wai managed to make Par on this one! I was able to make my one and only par on #15!
View of the water hazard on #15 (reverse angle from the green).
We made it #18 by 7:45pm and finished just after 8:00pm! Woo hoo!
It was only the 2nd time ever that I got to finish Dad Miller GC!
Our post golfing celebration was at Paul's in Anaheim where Wai and I had dinner afterwards.
A "fun" day on the golf course!
