Breaking a 100 at Birch Hills

9am on Saturday morning at my home course - Birch Hills GC in Brea! It was cool and overcast all day - perfect weather for golf!

Luis joined us for a round of 18 hole golf.

Here's Luis teeing off on the #2 teebox. Luis can really drive the ball far!

Wai teeing on #5 teebox.

The rest of the group are making their approach shots on the short 93 yard #6 hole.

Luis putts as Wai looks on.

After a short break, we started on the bottom 9; here is Jeff teeing on #11.

Luis looks on as the group waiting for the group ahead to finish teeing.

DB's ball on the #13 green (from tee).

DB's teeshot in the middle of the #14 fairway. It was a pretty decent shot. Luis' shot was better and went beyond the yellow midway flag.

I had an awesome tee shot 187 yrds on the green (about 2 1/2 feet from the flag) from a 5 wood.

DB preparing to finish up the last hole.

The 18th hole!!

It was pretty fun, I had a lot of great shots and putted much better today. I finished 95/38 (44/21 on the front 9 and 51/17 strokes on the back 9). I broke a 100 at Birch Hills (rated 57.7/91 on the blues). Birch is a par 59 course (an executive length course as oppose to a 72 plus regulation). I had three par, including a near birdie on #16 green and lots of great tee shots.
